PCBs, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and the areas it affects   Leave a comment

So we know PCBs cause non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but where is PCB contamination prevalent?

Green Bay and Lake Michigan are two of the most contaminated areas, which is awful because those bodies of water make up a lot of the drinking water for surrounding areas. Below is a quote from a doctor on the subject:

“Those who eat fish from lower Green Bay and below the DePere Dam face a cancer risk due to PCBs equal to smoking 2 to 3 packs of cigarettes a day.”
— Dr. Jeffery Foran, toxicologist

WOW. PCBs are really, really bad.
