Monsanto’s New Product and NHL   1 comment

Roundup herbicide logoGlyphosate, which is commercially known as Roundup, is the world’s most commonly used herbicide. It is currently manufactured by Monsanto and much like their older (now banned) industrial product, PCBs, Roundup is showing clear links to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, according to organicconsumers.org.

What’s most troubling about this discovery is that it’s not new. The link between Roundup and NHL has been established for over a decade; in fact, it was the focus of a study published in the Journal of American Cancer Society on March 15, 1999. How is it that so few people know about this? And why are we continuing to allow this product to be sold to farmers if it carries a strong potential risk for cancer?
