Connecticut Company Fined For Illegally Disposing of PCB-Containing Waste   Leave a comment

ConnecticutThe Bridgeport Brass Co. was a brass mill in Bridgeport, Connecticut that used polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and other chemicals in their plant. The facility is now occupied by the Connecticut Transfer and Recycling Co. LLC (CTC), which illegally disposed of the PCB-containing waste on site. The company was recently fined $52,000 thanks to environmental watchdog groups. The CTC has also agreed to cleanup PCB spills in the area.
