Saving the penguins   Leave a comment

Anghelos Kouvaras, a six year old from Port Washington Long-Island, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. While fighting for his own life, Anghelos developed a passion for penguins after reading about them and learning their lives were endangered. Anghelos subsequently raised over $3000 for a Wildlife Conservation Society 5k run. Anghelos finished his chemotherapy in time to participate in a team with more than 80 members. The fact that such a young boy can achieve so much in spite of a grave illness should serve as an inspiration for all of us to fight for the things we believe in and to never give up hope.
