Patriots draftee has NHL   Leave a comment

Marcus Cannon discovered he had non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after medical tests for his upcoming NFL career. However, two days following his first chemotherapy session, Cannon learned that he had been drafted by the New England Patriots. Originally, Cannon was projected as a second or third round draft pick. He ended up being picked up in the fifth round by the Patriots. The Patriots hope to use Cannon as a guard; Cannon played the tackle while in college at TCU. Cannon says he remains strong but that he is uncertain whether he will be able to play in the next season. It’s nice to know that nothing is slowing this young man down.
