Pesticides and cancer

In Canada, the Pest Control Products Act greatly reduces the availability of commercial pesticides. Consumers may only use products bearing a Pest Control Product Registration Number on its label. Toronto Public Health warns against pesticide use citing known links to a myriad of health problems including the following cancers: leukemia, kidney, brain, testicular, prostate and cervical cancers, and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
