Let’s Make September “National Blood Cancer Awareness Month”

U.S. Representatives Walter Jones and Betsy Markey would like to declare September 2010 as Blood Cancer Awareness Month. The objective is to raise awareness for this family of cancers (which include NHL), and hopefully in turn strengthen funding and research. Jones and Markey have introduced a Congressional resolution (H.Res. 1433), and they need 100 U.S. Representatives to co-sponsor the resolution before the House will consider it.

In support of the resolution, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) are urging citizens to contact their Representatives and encourage their co-sponsorship. Click here for more information regarding ways to support Septbember becoming National Blood Cancer Awareness Month.
